This Privacy Policy describes how DeepVedanta ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the DeepVedanta application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide core features:

Account information: email address and display name provided during registration or login.
App activity you submit: Japa counts/records and timestamps you choose to save.
Prasadam content: recipes and deity names used to generate images.
Technical information: basic device and browser metadata from standard web requests (e.g., IP address, user agent) collected by our servers to operate the service and ensure security.
Local storage: we store your current session user object in localStorage on your device to keep you signed in. This stays on your device unless you log out or clear app data.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, calendars, photos, microphone, or background data. We do not use third‑party analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs.

How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account and authenticate you.
To save and retrieve your Japa records and related features (e.g., summary views).
To generate Prasadam images based on the deity and recipe text you provide.
To secure our services, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
To communicate with you about the service (e.g., account or support).

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described below:

DeepVedanta Backend API (https://deepvedanta.com/api/v1): processes account, Japa records, and feature requests. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Pollinations AI (https://pollinations.ai): receives only image prompts derived from your provided deity and recipe text to generate images. We do not send your email or account identifiers to this service.
Service Providers: infrastructure, hosting, and security vendors that process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of our services.

We do not use advertising networks and do not share data with advertisers.

Cookies and Local Storage

The App does not use third‑party cookies. We use localStorage to keep you signed in. You can remove this data by logging out or clearing the App’s storage.

Data Retention

We retain account and Japa records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Choices below). Backups and logs may persist for a limited period as required for security, continuity, and legal compliance.

Your Choices and Rights

Access and update: you may request a copy or correction of your information.
Deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated Japa records.
Opt‑out: you can stop using image generation features at any time; prompts will not be sent to Pollinations AI.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including transport encryption (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated via the App or by email where appropriate.
